Veterans like Chris Crocker, Bryant McFadden, and Andre Gurode have left unsettled situations in their wake. How will the AFC North turn them over?

Re: On Moms, Football, and Love
My condolences to Doug. Big HUGS too. I know what it's like to lose your mother at a young age. My own mom died at 47 from a brain aneurysm when I was 26 (my youngest brother was still in high school). It's probably never easy, but even tougher when they're too young.
Re: On Moms, Football, and Love
Left a message in the article comments. I can't begin to imagine what Doug's going through, and hope it's many, many years before I do. My condolences to him.

Wow. Poor Doug. I lost my Father 10 years ago (in my mid 20's)and that was so hard. The thought of losing Mum? Scares the shit out of me...

Re: On Moms, Football, and Love
Expressed this to Doug via the Tweeters already, but as someone who is down both parents, it was really a heartening attempt to try and memorialize someone when words can't really express their importance to you.
Life is a brutal business sometimes. I'm glad the Y! overlords allowed him to write about it.

I was holding it together until I saw Raiderjoe's comment. Aw, jeez....
It was a lovely piece, Doug. At the very least, it sounds like you have a lifetime of beautiful memories of a great lady.
