Pennington Wins Second Comeback Award

Chad Pennington was named Comeback Player of the Year today. It was his second such award in three years; he also won it in 2006 with the Jets. He's the first player to win this award twice.

Jerod Mayo Chosen Defensive Rookie of the Year

Almost unanimously, in fact. 49 of 50 votes. Who the heck voted for Keith Rivers? I mean, the guy's a nice player, but he was out half the season. Based on FO defensive stats, Mayo was involved in 17.6 percent of New England's defensive plays, fifth in the NFL behind Barrett Ruud, D'Qwell Jackson, London Fletcher Baker Candlestick Maker, and Patrick Willis.

2010 Pro Bowl to be in Miami, Before Super Bowl

The Pro Bowl next season will take place on the Sunday between the conference championships and the Super Bowl, in Dolphins Stadium, sight of Super Bowl XLIV. The site and date of the game are both 1-year deals; things could change in 2011.
